The 2018 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard theme will celebrate the event’s 25th anniversary: “Festival of Speed – The Silver Jubilee”. The first Festival, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be, and, in the years since, it has firmly established itself as the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. Now, to mark the Silver Jubilee, the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) will choose his 25 favourite moments from the first 25 events – personal highlights which, in very different ways, have been landmarks in the Festival’s history. These moments, and the cars and drivers which created them, will be cornerstones of this year’s event, alongside the usual gathering of extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of motoring to the present day and beyond.

il Pampero at The Hari

il Pampero is The Hari’s Italian restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests will experience exceptional Italian cuisine in a sophisticated setting, which embodies Italian chic and vintage glamour. Under the direction of Executive Chef, Claudio Covino, the team delivers a range of culinary delights with regional influences, in particular from southern Italy. This is in line with Claudio’s belief that all ingredients and raw materials at the heart of his creations must be Italian.

While circular booths are set against the back and side walls, the focal point is the striking central bar where diners can embrace the Italian tradition of Aperitivo while enjoying one of our very many cocktail creations. il Pampero can also be privately hired for standing receptions or seated dinners.

La Dame de Pic London

Awarded a star in the 2018 Michelin Guide, La Dame de Pic London is a vibrant destination for gourmands in the City of London, showcasing Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s creative French cuisine.

Chef Anne-Sophie Pic is known for her distinct culinary identity, revisiting ingredients and exploring unusual cooking methods to create unexpected flavour combinations.

The restaurant offers an impressive yet relaxing dining space featuring natural wood flooring, carved woodwork, curved leather banquettes and columns covered with bevelled mirrors. A private dining room sits alongside the main restaurant, providing an intimate space for 12 – 14 guests.

Laurent at Hotel Café Royal

Laurent at Café Royal is our grill restaurant and sushi bar by internationally renowned chef Laurent Tourondel. Our chefs serve up the finest steak and fish from the open kitchen and grill, most of which sourced here in the UK; whilst our sushi masters prepare inventive sushi, sashimi and raw fish at the sushi bar. The restaurant is open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.

Mei Ume

Mei Ume offers two distinct cuisines, serving Chinese and Japanese dishes with a modern approach from the dedicated Japanese Sushi Bar and Chinese Main Kitchen.

Signature Asian-inspired cocktails created by our talented team of bartenders are served alongside a wide selection of sake, shochu and Japanese whiskeys at the Mei Ume Bar.

Separated from the main restaurant by stunning bamboo-print screens, our Private Dining Room can seat up to 13 guests around a large central table, perfect for group dinners, celebrations or business events.

Mortons

Morton’s Club is the most exclusive, yet relaxed private members’ club in Mayfair.

Morton’s has been at the centre of Mayfair’s social life for the past 40 years and overlooks the length of Berkeley Square.
The Grade II listed building was built in 1823 and once the private residence of the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
It was here that the fast living, fast driving Bentley boys spent most of the 1920s.

Dating back to 1865 and formerly known as the Grill Room, the gilded Oscar Wilde Lounge was renamed in honour of our most famous patron becoming the Oscar Wilde Lounge. Today, this dramatic setting is home to Hotel Café Royal’s award-winning afternoon tea service, presented masterfully by our dedicated restaurant team and creative chefs and accompanied by a pianist.

Randall & Aubin

Randall & Aubin is a unique restaurant, which launched in 1996 and has since become renowned as a Soho establishment.

Founded in 1908, Randall & Aubin was originally London’s first French Butchers shop and as the years passed, additions to the shop were made to include a bakery and cheesemonger. The shop became regarded as one of London’s premium gourmet food retailers with a long list of awards and high profile clientele, including Sir Winston Churchill, who flocked to the site to enjoy some of the finest foods from the UK and across The Channel.

Due to changing demand of the times and area, the third generation of the butchers family sold the shop giving Ed Baines and Jamie Poulton the opportunity to bring their interesting dining concept to the area in the form of a restaurant.

Randall and Aubin deliver an approachable but high-end concept to customers. They have a strict no bookings policy, but serve the finest food, wine, champagne and cocktails. The restaurant has a luxurious environment where customers feel relaxed from the moment they arrive.

Our long-standing reputation as a Soho institution is a huge reward for all our hard work. Our approach to Randall and Aubin is not of being owners but custodians of this iconic site. The founders’ driving desire is to provide only the best at a reasonable price, with a regular following and high turnover in a limited space.

We offer customers an intimate experience that hopefully ensures they visit us many more times.

Rotunda Bar and Lounge

Presiding at the heart of Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, Rotunda is a stylish and elegant venue set beneath an art deco domed ceiling. Taking inspiration from the building’s 1920s heritage, during the day a menu of favourites from oysters to lobster rolls arel be served.

From 2pm to 5pm guests can indulge in our Heritage Afternoon Tea; inspired by the building’s rich history and connection to the tea trade route along the River Thames.

The Garden Terrace is The Hari’s unique outdoor oasis with living ivy walls, a retractable roof and heaters. The Hari Bar

An intimate yet glamorous space decked out in vintage furniture and contemporary artwork – creating the feel of an exclusive private members club. The perfect venue to host private celebrations or corporate networking events, the Hari Bar is available for private hire for up to 180 people. This includes exclusive hire of the Garden Terrace until 11pm.

Ziggy’s cocktail bar pays homage to the late David Bowie who famously retired his dramatic alter ego Ziggy Stardust with a star-studded bash at Café Royal in 1973. Sip on classic cocktails reinvented and given a sprinkle of glam rock and roll and some of Bowie’s preferred tipples whilst surrounded by intimate photography of the icon by rock photographer Mick Rock.
